It's not for want of trying that you haven't yet succeeded in making the thing you love part of the life you have. You have worked your butt off - all other things being equal, you should be there by now.


The service I offer is substantially and powerfully different to that you might get from a life coach. Yes, we're going to create a powerful plan and put it into practice. But that is just one part of the 'how' - in fact, the easiest part. Before you set a single goal, we need to change the way you approach change.

We believe that change is hard because it always has been. And the more 'evidence' (i.e. failure) we have accumulated, the harder it has become, because now we really 'know' how hard it is! You can see how this effect could snowball...


But there is a reason why change has always been hard. If you are like most people, you've gone about it something like this: you start by making a decision to change. By 'you' I mean the conscious mind you - the rational, analytical part of your mind. But that you is not all of who you are. 'You' are also your unconscious mind and your unconscious mind's very reason for existence is to protect you and keep you safe. One of the ways it does this is to prevent change, because keeping things constant, consistent and predictable makes it easier to spot anomalies which is important because anomalies may mean danger. It's a mechanism that worked like a dream in the days when we lived in caves and were occasionally hunted by sabre-toothed tigers, but doesn't serve us so well in the 21st century.


It's no wonder we find it hard to change!

Trying to make any kind of change without getting your unconscious mind on side is going to be an uphill struggle. Cognitive Hypnotherapy works (here's the evidence). It does this by setting up a powerful communications hotline between your executive, conscious mind and your protective unconscious. And those changes you have been trying so hard to make with persistence, perseverance and will power? Their achievement becomes easier than you might ever have thought possible, because now you are working with your unconscious mind rather than pitting yourself against it.


As a fully trained Cognitive Hypnotherapist, I understand that the reason why many people fail to follow through on the decisions that they take to create change in their lives can be traced back to negative beliefs, many of which originated in childhood. These beliefs tend to become more entrenched with age, because the more we act on a belief, the more the results we get reinforce that belief. It's a vicious little circle; when we speak of creating our own reality, this is the chief mechanism we do it by. It isn't necessary to spend extended periods of time re-examining the past - I offer processes from hypnotherapy and neuro linguistic programming (NLP) that will enable you to revisit, re-evaluate and remedy the events that created your negative and limiting beliefs quickly and without needing to re-experience any trauma. When you no longer believe in what you CAN'T do, your future opens up into a world of possibility.


Introducing: The Transformers Program

Changing your experience of the past and the negative beliefs that arise from that experience is one step of The Transformers Program, a process I created after researching how successful people 'do' deep change. This program provides the structure of our work together. Its power lies in the preparation work that comprise the first five of seven steps. Action is easy, even in the face of fear, when you know the next step and the one after that.


Let me give you an example: it's new year's eve and you have taken the decision to change a behaviour - let's say you have decided to stop eating chocolate and loose 10 lbs. How are you going to achieve this? Do you have a plan? What will you do when the cravings hit? Most people's new year's resolutions don't last past February and one of the reasons for this is that they start without a plan and then don't know what to do when they hit a road block. Working with me, using The Transformers Program as our framework, you will have a plan and you will know what to do.

Seven steps to building a life around what you love:

1. Who are you and what do you want?

If you don't already know what you would love to do with you time on Earth, this step takes you deep inside to uncover what Barbara Sher calls your 'original genius.'

2. Healing the past

As described in depth above, in this step I help you to expose those limiting beliefs that are holding you back, enabling you to re-evaluate and neutralise them.

3. Creating the future.

"Everything is created twice," says Robin Sharma. "First in the  mind, then in reality." In this step, you will be deciding what it is that you want for your life, then creating a powerful intention for it that you will be working towards.

4. Goal setting and planning.

You wouldn't take a trip without first plotting your route. In this part of the program, you will map the course from your present reality to the one you are creating, step by step.

5. Ways and means.

You're going to need resources. Whether they are skills and abilities or money and contacts, in this step we'll figure out how you're going to get what you need to do what you love.

6. Taking action

By this point in the process, you will be supremely prepared and raring to go. You know what you want and you know how you're going to get it - with my support and step by step.

7. Woo-hoo, you did it!

The seventh step is where you pause, to celebrate and to take stock of how far you have come. Because you have achieved this, you now know you can achieve just about anything that you choose to do.  So - what's next?
